I typically don’t write Friday night grateful moment posts,¹Though I have family that does. but tonight is different.

A couple of days ago, Melissa’s computer got infected with trojan Win64/Sirefef.Y. I have been successful in removing fake antivirus programs before, but this one had me stymied. The computer would reboot one minute after logging on, not enough time to get any cleaning done.

Thanks to Broni at SmartestComputing, Melissa’s computer is clean and protected again.²Boy, I don’t want to go through that again…
