According to my yearly practice, here are a few of my favorite pictures I posted here over the past year. A couple of these actually have people in them. Sadly, I took only one of these in the second half of the year, and that was July 4th. Cannon Beach accounts for 40% of these.
Having posted more than nine pictures to Instagram this year, my “top nine” actually might have some significance.
It’s clearly time to take more pictures…
A grab bag from recent trips to Salt Lake City and Corvallis and happenings in between.
A line of trees edges the field and sky.
Last night’s snow and ice “insulates” the electric fence at my photo spot.
Or, for a different square edit, here’s my Instagram posting:
Late afternoon, Ashley knocked on my door. “Dad, are you almost done working? Would you want to go to Cannon Beach to see the sunset?”
In a few minutes, the three of us were out the door and on our way. We made it to the beach with enough time to hike to Haystack Rock before the sun dipped behind the waves.
What a great way to end the day!
Btw, a day that had started with another picture from my photo spot, across the street from the Hillsboro airport.
After dropping Suzi off at work, I observed my morning ritual of reading and relaxation. Headed home in the steady rain, I happened to look east. Rather than being the expected gray sky, there was a developing sunrise. Mmm… :-)
Yesterday’s sunrise across from the Hillsboro airport.
Somewhere in the mist are light rail tracks.
Even on a quick run, there’s always time to make a picture.
Today we took Jamison to college. I got up early and headed for my morning ritual, getting a drink for everyone else, too.1
On the way, I stopped at my photo stop across from the Hillsboro airport to catch the pre-sunrise. Mmm… :-)
