At the end of every year, I review the pictures I’ve posted here and choose my favorites.
The pics are in chronological order — this was my year.
Here’s my favorite animation from the year.
Do you have a favorite?
The pics are from the following posts:
On a recent evening flight home, I sat over a 737’s wing. It was time to take some more pictures.
Maybe not quite as cool an angle as a row or two farther back, but it still has a very organic feel.
Carrying a camera with me most of the time, I take a lot of pictures. I take pictures during my bicycle commute. I take pictures when I fly. I even take pictures while I wait for my flight. And I post a bunch of them.
Of the pictures I took and posted in 2013, these are nine of my favorite.
Finally, I include my favorite animated GIF from the year.
That makes an even ten. Do you have a favorite? Did I miss your favorite?
Today’s airport experience in PDX was downright nice: the TSA was scanning boarding passes at the far end of the line and sending a large portion through the “PRE” line. Those of us lucky enough to be selected went through security pre-9/11 style: coats, shoes, and belts stayed on and computers remained packed. As another passenger said, “It’s like were not the enemy today.”
I hope your day was filled with nice surprises, too.

Headed home and looking out the window.
Nighttime flights don’t result in great views of the ground. And rush seating doesn’t always result in me remembering where I sat.
