Jamison passed his drivers’ test today. Congratulations, Jamison. We’re so proud. :-)
First Day of School 2013
Jamison and Yuna pose for our traditional first day of school pictures in the front yard. Unfortunately, Jamison left for school earlier than Yuna, so we didn’t get a side-by-side picture like last year.
We’re looking forward to a great school year. How about you?

Oh the Joy!
Oh, the joy of riding home from work to see Jamison edging the lawn he just mowed. Atta boy! :-)
Beach Trip
I went to Seaside to watch Jamison compete in a track meet. After he finished his events, I headed home, leaving Jamison to ride home on the bus.
I stopped by the beach and at the rest stop to take pictures.
Update. The results are posted and Jamison got a PR. Good job, Jamison!

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, everyone! The kids slept under the tree in their new PJs. This morning, we opened stockings and then our presents, followed by a late brunch. Mmm! Once again, Santa confused us with a well-behaved family.
We are so thankful for the many blessings we have.
Christmas Lights
I love everything about Christmas.
Wait, that’s not quite true. I love most things about Christmas. I don’t like tall, wobbly ladders. I don’t like slippery, steep roofs. I don’t like heights. I don’t like putting up Christmas lights.
Imagine my joy last night to come home from a business trip and see lights on the house that weren’t there when I left.
Thank you, Jamison! You’re awesome. *<:-)
Jamison’s Winter Piano Recital – 2012
Jamison played at the winter piano recital and was recognized for passing OMTA level 8. Too cool!
I remember piano recitals as terrifying experiences: students’ performances arranged in order of increasing worth with everyone listening for any tiny mistake and laughing to each other behind hands covering their mouths. I’m sure my memory’s not entirely accurate, but that’s how I remember them.
Do you remember recitals? Did you enjoy them?
Jamison’s and Yuna’s First Day of School 2012
Today is Jamison’s first day of school in high school. Yuna1This is our second school year having Yuna in our home. She is an exchange student from South Korea. We picked her up from PDX this last Sunday morning. We were on time this year… ;-) is an “old pro” at this.
We wish them success in their studies — and everything else that is part of an auspicious year in high school.
We’re proud of you guys!
