We have a new granddog! She’s such a sweetie. :-)

This evening, Heather and I walked around the neighborhood while the Earth continued spinning its path around the sun. The moon waited in the wings, soon to play a starring role.
For our Saturday excursion, Suzi and I rented1By the way, if you are looking for a nice place to rent some recreational kayaks around Seaside, Cleanline treated us well. I’m sure they’d do the same for you. The owner is friendly. That wasn’t too surprising. The kids who helped put the kayaks on my car were friendly, too, introducing themselves, shaking my hand, asking how my visit was, etc. Wow! four kayaks to explore Sunset Lake. Ashley got a larger life vest for Mousse.2Although we also got one for Meisa, it’s going back; Meisa said nothing doing to putting on a life vest so she could sit on a tippy kayak. Instead, Meisa relaxed, tied up at our campsite.
Suzi, Ashley, Heather, and I boarded our kayaks. Ashley had Mousse join her. Things went swimmingly until Mousse went swimming. Thanks to Mousse’s life vest and its handle, Ashley was able to get Mousse back on board. Turns out, Mousse likes to swim and is fast. And Mousse likes to swim a lot! With her life vest, we didn’t worry about Mousse getting dog tired. We could paddle next to her and let her dog paddle.
Another fun day on the water.3Yeah, that’s redundant. ;-) :-)
Something new on my key ring. Thanks, Heather! I <3 U 2! :-)
Heather and I took a Wednesday trip to Cannon Beach1Yeah, no pictures of Haystack Rock (well, almost). Looking at the ocean is so calming. It doesn’t need anything else in the picture. today. We visited our favorite haunts and relaxed. Mmm…

Today was Heather’s first day of work. Like first days of school, we record these important life events with a picture1 in the front yard under the Japanese maple tree.
Congratulations, Heather! We’re so proud of you.

One more trip to Walla Walla, this time to celebrate Heather’s graduation. I would brag about her grades and accomplishments, but I don’t want to embarrass her. I’ll just leave it at, “She done good.” :-)
Congratulations, Heather! We are so proud of you.

Merry Christmas, everyone! The kids slept under the tree in their new PJs. This morning, we opened stockings and then our presents, followed by a late brunch. Mmm! Once again, Santa confused us with a well-behaved family.
We are so thankful for the many blessings we have.
Today could be Heather’s last first day of school.1Time for our traditional picture in the front yard.
We’re so proud. :-)
