Before the spring of my kindergarten year, my tonsils were removed. I don’t remember much about it other than being offered ice cream when I had no desire to eat and being given four blocks of clay.
My kindergarten class made get well cards for me.1My mother saved the cards in a little manila envelope and gave them to me later. The teacher handed out yellow construction paper, told them how and where to fold it, and turned them loose with crayons. One by one, my classmates went to her desk and told her what to write inside. Judging by their contents,2Click the card faces to see what’s inside. she didn’t filter what they said very much. I can only imagine what she must have told them about my tonsillectomy before they made the cards. :-D
I hope you enjoy these cards as much as I do.3I love the cards from Todd, Larry, and Shelley. I hope they were good friends of mine. If not, I missed out on some pretty cool kids. :-)
