    Birds at our Feeders

The birds have discovered our feeders and visit in flocks. Here are the birds we’ve seen at our feeders so far this week:

    • Acorn woodpecker
    • American goldfinch (m/f)
    • Black-capped chickadee
    • Bushtit
    • Dark-eyed junco (juvenile f)
    • European starling
    • House finch (m/f)
    • Red-winged blackbird (m/f)
    • Western scrub-jay
    • White-breasted nuthatch

And then, there’s Hammy, the Douglas’ squirrel who cleans up the ground after the birds. We haven’t (yet) seen him try to climb to the feeders.

Do you have any feeders out? What birds do you see?

  • Bird feeders near the windows

We put the bird feeders near the windows so we could enjoy the view. Looks like our cats are enjoying the view, too. Just hope the birds realize they’re safe from the cats.
