Biking along the path, I again got distracted by the sun shining through the trees.
Beautiful! :-)

The sun in my eyes on my daily commute.
Carrying a camera with me most of the time, I take a lot of pictures. I take pictures during my bicycle commute. I take pictures when I fly. I even take pictures while I wait for my flight. And I post a bunch of them.
Of the pictures I took and posted in 2013, these are nine of my favorite.
Finally, I include my favorite animated GIF from the year.
That makes an even ten. Do you have a favorite? Did I miss your favorite?
Happy Friday the 13th, everyone!
Update: I wasn’t happy with my first editing from the original, so I redid it.
The Canada geese and mallard ducks are having a “float in” at a Dawson Creek pond. Their demands are not yet clear.
Last night’s snowfall didn’t result in much, just enough white stuff to make this morning’s commute a little slippery. Temperatures were also in the high 20’s instead of the high teens. Balmy!
The ducks celebrated by standing on the pond.
21 degrees this morning and I’m staying warm.
Btw, only 60 42 miles to 2,000 miles on the bike this year. I should easily ride that before the end of November, with another month yet to go in the year.
Today was another chilly, sub-freezing morning, though the picture I snapped on the way to work could pass for early spring.1Fewer leaves than a month ago.
I dressed for bicycling in the cold: rain pants over long pants, rain jacket over a long-sleeved T-shirt and a long-sleeved pullover, Gore-Tex helmet liner, headband over nose and mouth, full-finger gloves, and sunglasses. Amazingly, I did not overheat. Instead, my feet got cold. If this weather continues, I think I’ll try a couple of pairs of socks.
Brisk morning.
a monochrome wash
splashing against bark and blade
dripping, "I hate hue!"
