Great quote! Seems contrary to many people’s views of Carl Sagan.
Kevin, I don’t know if you’ve read the book Contact, but if you haven’t, I recommend it. In Contact, Palmer Joss is a religious leader. Carl Sagan was agnostic. So these are the words that Carl Cagan put in the mouth of someone he would have disagreed with. Hence my clarification that these are the words of a character in the book.
