This was my day:
Sitting in the juror waiting room, fulfilling my civic duty. I voted earlier this week. I'm on a roll. :-)

In 2 hours of juror service, I've checked in and watched an orientation video. Now waiting for lawyers not to settle their cases.

Two of four docketed cases have waivers. One judge wants 32 jurors. One listening to motions. Justice is moving in Washington County.
— Brent Logan (@blogan) October 27, 2016
Oh, calling numbers. Will I be called?
— Brent Logan (@blogan) October 27, 2016
32 numbers called — mine not one of them. Only one trial remaining, apparently still hearing motions. The waiting continues…
— Brent Logan (@blogan) October 27, 2016
Being told the remaining judge will be requesting 34 jurors in about 45 minutes. There's still hope. :-)
— Brent Logan (@blogan) October 27, 2016
45 minutes has come and gone, yet here I remain.
— Brent Logan (@blogan) October 27, 2016
Calling numbers.
— Brent Logan (@blogan) October 27, 2016
Number called. I'm a winner! :-)

Lining up for jury selection.
— Brent Logan (@blogan) October 27, 2016
Not starting in the box, or even close to it.
— Brent Logan (@blogan) October 27, 2016
Turns out I was the first behind the bar to get in the box. Even survived a few peremptories. Then bumped.
— Brent Logan (@blogan) October 27, 2016
I survived longer than I expected. If you were the state would you want an ex defense attorney in the jury? ?
— Brent Logan (@blogan) October 27, 2016
The last time I was called for jury duty was 1987. I’ve been a registered voter and Oregon drivers license holder since then. Guess I’ll have to get used to never serving… :-(
