Here’s what makes a difference for me:
The ability to edit myself. I don’t share as many pictures as I used to, but I’m probably taking more.
The ability to edit my pictures. I don’t think I ever share an unedited picture anymore.
As a related point, I now use a Mac. Mac’s photo editing capabilities out of the box are better than the free Windows software I used to use.
Haha! I almost forgot, I also love Instagram’s photo editor. Now that Instagram saves relatively large-sized images, it’s a reasonable solution for what I post here.
My willingness to experiment. That’s how I end up with the tree reflection in the puddle and the fence rail pictures.
Just taking a bunch of pictures.
I don’t credit any special camera. I use a point and shoot and my phone. The Fujifilm x70 looks interesting, but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
