This past weekend, my brothers and I1And a bunch of other people. trekked to Mendocino, California. Brother Don arranged2Yeah, I am the master of understatement. to have the lagoon at PUC’s Albion Biological Field Station named in honor of our parents. Nicely done!
We enjoyed seeing family and friends and seeing a part of California we used to visit twice yearly for camping trips.3Now I have the urge to ride the Skunk train, roll down sand dunes, and watch axes thrown at logs. I do not miss the yearly case of poison oak. ;-)
Here are a few of the pictures from the weekend.

What a great tribute to your mom and dad. When she called me the other evening and told me about how Don set it up as a surprise, she was totally blown away. Didn’t see it coming. You have a great family… and are part of a pretty great family. PTL.
Yeah, it was a good time. We were amazed that, even with how many were involved, we we able to keep it a secret. Don certainly pulled a few strings. And with their lives of services, my parents are certainly deserving of the honor.
