Breaking In Another Donor Card

Beginning my third gallon of blood, I started a new donor card.

I decided it was time to try something different. Instead of following my Wimp’s Guide to Giving Blood, I sat up like everyone else and even looked at my arm after1 the needle was in.

Woo hoo! I didn’t feel faint. Maybe this is my new normal.2

How can I encourage you to join me next time?

  1. No, I didn’t watch them put the needle in. I was being brave, not masochistic.
  2. After 16 donations, maybe my fear of needles is starting to decrease. :-)
