Genius is not something that is rare in terms of human potential; it is just that our culture, our need for acceptance, tempts most to surrender who they are, what their unique vision could be, for the sake of something that is a small consolation if it is any.

There are prophets who tell us these things and our own instincts that beckon us towards something different, but the vast majority settle for an spiritual economy of scarcity rather than abundance.

Becoming again a little child, we move from darkness to light; we remember that we were all geniuses, with visions worthy of missions that would change the world.

Remembering that “in him we live and move and have our being”, we discover that love accompanies us through the paradox of letting go — we find the genius in all of us.

Tucking that one away for when I need to rationalize my next nutty idea! If no one else can see “it,” I MUST be a genius!

“If a man loses pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured, or far away. ”

I think this explains my “genius” dancing. *<;-)
