That scale can’t be right if this photo is taken from the earth. Maybe from a chase satellite? More likely photoshop?
Yeah, it’s fantastic, isn’t it?!?! ;-)
The Space Station is not orbiting the moon, it is just passing by it. And that is the correct scale. Taken on earth, from NASA’s Johnson Space Center to be exact with a DSLR and a 600mm lens with a 2x converter.
Some space photos are hard to believe, aren’t they? How about this one, where space shuttle Atlantis is so close to the sun that you can see its shadow?
