Construction Bicycle Lane Markings

Another Sunday — Oops! Make that Monday — and time for another longer ride.

Today’s ride found roads I haven’t biked on before and more hills. As a bonus, I biked on a newly repaved section of a road that hadn’t been formally re-striped. For the interim, someone with some spray paint and a sense of humor painted hatch marks for lane dividers and these delightful bike lane markings.

I should admit that “Smokin’” was from another construction zone, but the style is unmistakably similar.

I wonder if these markings comply with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. ;-)
